Arca - KiCk i

KiCk i is a celebration not only of the joy that Arca was able to find in her life, but also of the sometimes challenging path she had to take to get there. Her efforts to reconcile Venezuelan origins and trans and Latinx identities appear as reggaetón and pop en Español. However, KiCk i is not just a pop record, nor an experimental record, or even just a mix between the two genres, but rather everything at once - and much more. Depending on where you drop the needle, you'll find bubblegum, harsh noise, electronic psychedelia, ballads, bangers, laughter, tears, passion and expressions of faith - sounds and ideas that don't simply mix together, but coexist simultaneously in a quantum superposition enabled within sound worlds that Arca builds in his music.
