About the release and samples

The Slovak trio Berlin Manson was created as a so-called apartment band in the dark times of Covid lockdowns. The founders Patrik Nagy and Adam Dragun compensated for their lack of cultural enjoyment by creating new and original music, where Patrik provided his DIY electronic beats with live guitar and Adam his lyrics full of sarcasm and criticism of the conditions of the scene and society.

After first successful concerts and singles, the cloud surrounding the name Berlin Manson has constantly been increasing. They were catapulted into the spotlight of the alternative scene by the track and video for Netancujem kývem hlavou, which foreshadowed their debut EP Život končí keď máš trinásť (2022, Korobushka).

Later, drummer Tomáš Tabiš from the band 52 Hertz Whale joins the duo. Their concert performances gain more momentum and their drive has made them into one of the most popular club and festival bands in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

After the successful single collaboration Hotel Kyjev with FVLCRVM (2023), the band release their first full-length album Poor but Sexy, their first release on the experimental // alternative label Weltschmerzen. The fusion with its roots in electronica, punk, post-punk, rap and HC is again complemented by the exceptional lyrics of Adam Dragun, in which social commitment alternates with sarcasm, irony and cynicism, nostalgia and sadness. The album also features a vast range of collaborations with guests such as Katarzia, Edúv Syn, Fvck Kvlt, Temný Rudo, Dušan Vlk and Paris.
