Coco María - Club Coco

A summer compilation of Latin and Afro-rooted music compiled by Coco María. An attempt to give something back to music lovers around the world and imprint on the item a piece of the essence of the community that gathers around her weekly radio show on Worldwide FM.

In many ways, the songs on this compilation show how these artists use music to reconcile their pride in Latin American and African American culture as well as their interest in being part of the cosmopolitanism of Europe's big cities. Each track thus contributes a certain detail to create the perfect soundtrack for a community that constantly travels back and forth between the two regions, always looking for tracks that explore the furthest reaches of tropical music while staying true to the roots of their respective genres.
