An absolute classic and one of the most influential albums of the 2010s. Sunbather is the breakthrough album of post-black Deafheaven.

The melancholic songs on the album feature the wall of sound arrangements found in many shoegazing and post-rock bands, creating dense sounds that sometimes break down into slower, melodic parts that are then topped off by the reverb-soaked, screaming singing style of singer George Clarke.
