Pebble Seven - Sheepsong Unlimited

Counting sheep before sleep, and late-night thoughts that drift through past and present relationships. On her debut album 'Sheepsong Unlimited', Slovak musician Daša Bulíková - now recording as Pebble Seven, previously as DASA - moves across the uneven ground of human connection, whether romantic, platonic, family or professional, weighing both the closeness and the gaps inside it. Sometimes she reworks the love song, sometimes she uses music to probe her own Eastern European identity, reaching through layered, intuitive metaphors for how we read one another and ourselves.

Sonically it sits between experimental pop, alternative R&B and ambient electronica, favouring detailed texture and atmosphere over hooks. The classic pop structure steps back, leaving room for atmospheric instrumental passages and lyrics that follow their own logic; distant echoes of club beats, dreamy electronics and carefully shaped vocals run throughout, with kinship to Imogen Heap, Oklou and Smerz.

Bulíková spent much of her life between Bratislava, Prague and London, where she studied music at Goldsmiths. She debuted in 2022 with the EP 'Come Through', followed by 'first blush'. 'Sheepsong Unlimited' arrives after several years back in Czechia, where she traded bands for solo electronic work shaped by the dancefloor.

Through intimate tracks the Prague-based musician returns to close and casual encounters alike, and above all to the feelings they left behind. Released by the new Bratislava label 42far, with contributions from Athens-based musician Oliver Torr and British producer Joseph Futák.
